Baked Salmon with Herb Crust

Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions:

Prepare the Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Season the Salmon:

  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Season generously with salt and pepper.

Make the Parmesan Herb Crust:

  • In a bowl, combine the Parmesan cheese, panko breadcrumbs, parsley, and dried basil.
  • Drizzle in the melted butter and lemon juice, mixing until the crumbs are evenly coated.

Coat the Salmon:

  • Press the Parmesan herb mixture onto the top of each salmon fillet, covering evenly.

Bake:

  • Place the salmon in the preheated oven and bake for about 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and the topping is golden brown.

Serve:

  • Remove from the oven and serve immediately with a side of your choice, such as vegetables, rice, or a fresh salad.
