Grilled Tuna Steaks
Share
This Grilled Yellowfin Tuna Steak recipe is a real showstopper – elegant enough to impress guests, yet refreshingly simple to prepare. With a zesty, herb-infused marinade and a quick flame-kiss on the grill, it's a dish that brings out the very best in our premium Yellowfin Tuna Steaks.
Ingredients for the Marinade
A bold and citrusy blend to complement the richness of the tuna:
120ml fresh orange juice
60ml soy sauce
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon chopped fresh oregano
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Method
1. Prepare the marinade
Whisk together all the ingredients in a bowl until well combined.
2. Marinate the tuna
Place your Tuna Steaks in a shallow dish or resealable bag. Pour the marinade over, ensuring the steaks are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 1 hour.
3. Grill the steaks
Preheat your outdoor grill to high. Remove the tuna from the marinade and place directly on the grill. Cook for 5–6 minutes per side, basting occasionally with the leftover marinade. For medium-rare, the internal temperature should reach 125°F (about 52°C).
Serving Suggestion
Serve with a fresh green salad, grilled veg, or a light citrus couscous for a summery, sea-to-plate experience.
At Justcaught we’re proud to bring you only sustainably caught Yellowfin tuna, sourced with care to protect our oceans for future generations. Unlike other varieties, Yellowfin is one of the more responsibly managed tuna species, making it a better choice for the conscious cook. It’s the closest thing you’ll find to a cut of meat from the sea – firm, rich, and incredibly satisfying. Best served seared on the outside and rare in the centre, these steaks are also perfect for tossing straight onto the BBQ.
